The Parish Council are consulted on all planning applications within the Parish Boundary. Each application is circulated to the Parish Councillors after which the Parish Clerk sends the overall opinion back to the District Council. It is the District Council that makes the decision.

Good Citizens Award

The Honours Board in the Village Hall records the names of parishioners who have made a good contribution to the well-being of other parishioners or to village life.

Each year the people of the parish are invited to nominate the person of their choice to receive a certificate and have their name added to the Honours Board. Nominations should be sent to the Parish Clerk stating in no more than 50 words why the nominee should be considered for the award. Entries must be received in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “Good Citizens Award” by 31st December.
